Whedonverse
Here's a bit of linework I did last year for HEEB Magazine here in NYC. It was to accompany an interview they did of Joss Whedon. He was just about to launch DOLLHOUSE at the time. I liked DOLLHOUSE, it wasn't afraid to follow through on it's ideas.

Not often you see someone doing the 'chess piece characters' illustration that doesn't suck. This is really good. I don't know anything about Mr Whedon but I know this works well. Did you see the Christmas 2000Ad cover last year? That was another example of the 'chess piece characters' illustration that just didn't hit the mark for me.
ReplyDeleteThe perspective is a bit tricky, I had to cheat it a bit or Wolverine would have dominated too much.
