I think Jon has posted about Google Sketchup before, but a few months back I used the simple but effective 3D tool to build the basic blocks of a city scape I had to draw for some cover art. It was very handy to help me with perspective and depth issues, and is certainly something I'll use again in the future. And sometime in the future, I'll be able to post the cover art when it is out of NDA restrictions. Here there is a shot of the broader model, and the angle I used for the artwork.
