Watched the Robocop trilogy this week for the first time in donkeys. The first one was better than i remember - still think the villians shooting up Murphy is one of the most evil and raw scenes ever (for this kind of movie anyway). Numbers 2 and 3 were worse than i remember though and the least said the better. I'm glad Aronfosky dropped out of the Batman movies but quite looking forward to seeing what he does with the Robocop franchise - think that could be more up his street.
Anyway, as a result i've knocked up some Robocop doodles this week. Again, it's not a character i've drawn before and i experimented with some new (for me) digital colouring methods for this one too. I really need to invest in a tablet, pen and some painting software soon though - photoshop and a mouse just aint enough.
Hey Tom, can't argue with the need for a tablet, just so convenient, but Photoshop is mighty fine for painting. Check out some of these great brushes: http://chriswahlartbrushes.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteNice. Caught about twenty minutes of Robocop last week at some point. It seems a long time since I saw it. Ditto the need of a tablet, you can get a small but good one of Wacom for under £80. I reckon I use Photoshop for 90% of colour work, sometimes Painter.
ReplyDeleteHi, recently found my way here via the Micks blog... some really sweet stuff. Re:Robocop, that's a bit mind-boggling that you did that with a mouse...treat yourself to a Wacom and completely blow our tiny minds! Will watch this space....
ReplyDeleteThis Robocop design left me without words. I have seen similar jobs but anyone can be compare to this, I mean, it has not mistakes, it's almost perfect.
