The Terminator franchise is one of those series of films where I can forgive a lot of annoying foibles. Big fan of the original film 'Terminator' from 1984, it was just one of those films that a 10 year old kid watched on VHS repetitively long before he was legally supposed to. The second film 'Terminator 2: Judgment Day' (1991) even with a really annoying teenage John Connor was a good sequel and had loads of CGI (ah the future) and stunts. But then you come to 'Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines' (2003) and 'Terminator Salvation' (2009), one is much better than the other but both have enough things wrong with them to make a sci-fi film nerd choke. Thankfully I don't let these things bother me overly and can watch the last two films without overly caring about the in and outs of the plot line and just enjoy the action sequences and corny dialogue. So as a franchise I pretty much enjoy it still, sure its all riding on my love of the original but I can forgive that.
