I've started working on a stormtrooper model in 3D for a digital painting I'm planning to do.

Even reading thru your step by step I still can't get to grips with 3D, it baffles the hell out of me and wish it didn't as I spend a lot of time with referencing on illustrations and I'm sure it would help me if I could figure it out. Something needs to click in my brain first though :)
ReplyDeleteFrom what i'm told Google sketch up seems to be a good package for newcomers to 3D. You should give it a whirl and see how you get on with it. I'm not sure how it copes with organic shapes but seems to be fine for buildings and vehicles etc.
