Athena

The goddess Athena, a major player in 'Peace' , the book that I'm doing with Martin Millar. The trick is to make her look beautiful but also intimidating.
Incidentally my studio mate George O'Connor did a really great graphic novel about Athena that I can wholeheartedly recommend.

    Nice, I had a commish myself a month or so ago for Athena in the guise of a comic book styled super-hero.Had to do a bit of the usual research on her, I think you have captured her pretty well in your illo.

    The grey-eyed goddess certainly intimidated the gods when she sprang forth from Zeus' head, fully-armed, brandishing her spear, with a great battle-shout.

      Agreed. It's like a poster that i saw for the class of 2015 using the roman numerals IIOIV. Durr!
