C is for Cloak and Dagger
Marvel A-Z week 3: Cloak and Dagger

Always liked these characters since way back when they were introduced in the Spider-Man books - always seemed to work better as guest stars than in their own books though for some reason. Had good fun inking this one up in a grungier style than my norm - although i've still not got all the ink off my fingers yet.

Much prefer your inking on this piece than the colour version, in fact I think your inking shows a lot of energy so I hope you try some more 'grungier' style pieces. Of course I've no idea who C&D are :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Graeme. yeah, i'd agree with that. The aim with this set was pretty much to muck about with my inking style, hence the lack of proper pencils (otherwise i'd just end up 'tracing')if i get time to colour them up that's a bonus.
ReplyDeleteThe 'grunge' was fun to do, but also very messy(i need to find a cleaner way to do that) and also scary as i pretty much create the clean ink version first and then spatter at the end - always afraid a big blob of ink is going to'delete'a head or the like. Will probably be a few more characters i can do in this style over the set so i had better invest in some turps soon.
