This is the great Athenian comic dramatist Aristophanes. He's one of the leads in this book PEACE that I'm doing with Martin Millar. In fact the book is named after his play 'Peace' the production of which is at the core of this story.
I'm using this character creation phase to experiment a bit with different colouring techniques.
